Default NAPA Power Steering Pump?

Anyone have any experience good or bad with the reman powersteering pump from Napa?

Mine has gotten noisy and leaking more and more on my 04, so I'm looking to replace sooner or later. I'm done giving autozone, advanced, etc.. a chance since their quality control is none existent. I've always had good luck with Napa parts and their website looks like they put more effort in remanufacturing and testing than others.

Just hoping to hear some good news because I don't have time to try and rebuild and don't have the cash for a new $400+ one. Buying used isn't too appealing to me since I'd like some sort of warranty.

I got a new AllMakes for $325, but if I had a NAPA near me with a pump I might have given them a shot. They tend to be better than most other parts stores.

Gotta bump this and make sure no one else has any feedback on the Reman Napa? It seems my pump is leaking at the bottom and I've read it's not worth using a reseal kit. I'm really leaning toward napa since I can get theirs for $219. I have just read so many horror stories, I only want to replace it once.

Any other advice I need to know for my swap?

Don't know about NAPA but there's mixed reviews on re-man pumps. Seems like the best thing to do is shell out the $$$ and buy new. I have the re-man Cardone unit I bought thru Parts Geek. Only been a month so I can't really comment yet.

Who has the best deal on an allmakes I may look into it but cheapest I've found knew is like $350 and honestly $220 is pretty tight for me at the moment. I may get the Napa and then order a reseal kit to reseal my current one, because I know my 99 will need it's replaced sooner or later.

I've worked on/fixed a lot of different things but this is my first time dealing with a powersteering pump.

Well I went ahead and ordered the napa reman. Upon opening I could tell it had been tested due to clean fluid that came out as I removed the plugs, but......after installing, bleeding and then starting the vehicle...fluid went everywhere! The first light turn it blew the seal at the top of the pump.

My old one wasn't completely dead yet so I reinstalled it and ordered a new allmakes pump from miamibritish for $230 with free shipping. Hoping it'll be in before my spring break is over. The first install took just at 2 1/2hrs. Reinstalling the old one took an hr and 45min. So by the time I change it for the third time I'm hoping I can knock it out under 1 1/2hrs.

A tip
Buy a new pump from the dealer! A genuine unit at $320 exchange, they are currently on offer.

I just bought one from a local dealer and new stg box from Atlantic British for about 6 bills.
Result:-
Steering restored as new and NO problems once up and running.
Rubbish is expensive at any price!
