Default Need advice on throttle body warmer plate replacement

I am replacing the throttle body warmer plate and the two hoses that connect to it due to a minor leak. I looks like the line that goes to the over flow tank will be a snap but what about the hose that goes to the middle of the intake manifold? From just eyeballing it, do I have to remove the alternator and the A/C pump to reattach that hose? PLEASE tell me there is another way!!!

I did mine when I did my head gaskets so I'm not sure what at minimum has to come off. If it is only the AC compressor and the alternator that is not really a big deal.

If your hose aren't leaking, don't replace them. What leaks is at the t/body plate, reseal it and you'll be fine.
Don't forget to bleed the air from the coolant system after doing this or you;ll over heat.

That was going to be my next question. Ok, so do I just cut and plug?

Just use a u-shaped piece of pipe that you can connect to the ends of each hose that would normally attach to the heater plate.

Just take off the ac pump, set it to the side without removing the ac lines, then remove both of those small lines running to the tb plate, then run a line from the coolant tank straight to the intake, bypassing the tb plate all together. Thats what I did, no problems
