Default Need Driveshaft Help...

...I need the "carrier" part of the driveshaft. Front of a 2003 Discovery. Wifes truck and she called me with big "clunking noice" so i got under and took out the driveshaft--I can rebuild it but it messed up the whatever center pivot piece. Any suggestions where I can get one ASAP!!! Thanks

This happend to the previous owner of my 96 disco I. I got the disco back to the house with a flatbed and called Great Basin and got a entire new drive shaft assembly. it's supposed to be stronger. I have not put over 10k miles on it yet but so far it's holding up good. Maybe this is an option for you.

he meant precision 617. Most regular auto parts stores will carry it. You can also pull the shaft and have a driveline shop do it all for you. Make sure and go back with the greasable u-joints and have it balanced...

Default i can get the u-joints....

....with no problem. The problem is the unit in which hold the u-joints and the center "bearing" It damaged it and need to find new one.

I would call up Tom Woods and have them fab one for you. It would probably be quicker and would cost around $350.
