I agree if you want some fresh air to flow in

Will had a similar issue, he increased the height of the lip at the bottom of the hole by using black silastic, and I added a plastic diverter shelf at the top of the hole, glued with the same silastic. It fits under the black windscreen trim plenum when it's installed. This diverts very fast flowing water around the intake, after it runs down the windscreen.
Be sure to extend the edge of the diverter at least 35mm or so past the edge of the hole at both ends, and add a slight drain slope towards the left hand side of the car. I angled it at about 90 deg standing up from the firewall, and made a smooth silastic bead for the water to run across. Also make sure that the 2 drain holes at either end of the tray under the screen are clear and free to flow."
I'm going to try something similar !
Thank you all !!!
Best Regards
Not familiar with Silastic Will need to research. If i don't freeze this weekend maybe I can get it apart. Sounds good

Have the sunroof drains been ruled out for being plugged?

We have water in our Disco in the same area as your forth picture. I when through the same process of checking seams and joints for breaks in caulk. Last test was to open the sunroof and see if the water would drain from front corners.

The water would not drain from the front right corner and when I push a wire at the exit (under vehicle above the frame rail where the front and rear doors meet - need a flash light as it is recessed) point there was a quart of water that poured out. Solved the water problem.

Is there a more clean approach to sealing up leaks in the upper right hand corner on the front windshield (drivers side)? The rubber piece that is fitted was incorrectly re-installed by previous owner when windshield was replaced. When compared to the passenger side you can see the different. DOes the rubber seal thing come out or is there a clean fix? Ill post pics tomorrow. Thanks.

Just an FYI Miami rovers has a fiberglass windscreen cowl that closes off the fresh air make up but can withstand a lot more than a plastic piece can. I believe they are running around $190. I ordered one from them off of eBay and waiting on its arrival. The only thing I have heard is that's it's easier to remove the hood to replace it instead of trying to work around it
