Does the truck not start now, did you put some gas in the tank? As for the air in the lines, the pump, if working will remove the air on it's own. I am concerned that you allowed junk from the bottom of the tank to be sucked into the fuel filter and or the injectors and now you do have a problem.
First thing to do is replace the fuel filter, it is located in the r/r wheel well on the frame.
Cout the old one in half and see if it is full of rust.
Next check the fuel pump fuse and relay making sure power is getting to the pump.
Next, try and bleed some fuel out of the fuel rail on the engine to make sure your are getting pressure.
If it still doesn't start, get back to me.

Why do yo need a fuel bleeder, what ever that is? just remove a line, hook a rubber hose on it and let it flow into a can.

Hi

yesterday i tried taking a hose and a big syringe to out the air at the valve and i saw lots of bubbles, but they dont seem to come out. I tried starting it but it wont, and also i ask a guy at a part store, he told my to hotwire the fuel pump to pump gas so it can build pressure and someone go and press the gas pipe valve till gasoline shoots out.

Thx

All you should have to do is turn the key on for 5 to 10 sec's
3 or 4 times you should here the fuel pump run and stop.

What most likely happened is that with no fuel in the tank the
fuel pump over ran trying to build pressure and blew a fuse or
the pump went out.

Hi

I got it started the problem was not the pressure or air in the fuel rail, its the fuel pump locked up and the inertia fuel shut off switch was faulty. So while my friend unplug the inertia fuel shut off switch and hotwire the the plug, i had to go under the car and hit the gas tank many time till heard buzz and that how i got my car started. How much do you think my 1996 Land Rover SE Fuel pump and inertia fuel shut off switch cost?

There are other fuel pumps that you can use in place of the Rover pump, might check the LRO forum, LRR forum and D-Web, someone will be able to help you with this, I remember seeing a message where one person bought a new pump for a Chevy, I think and it worked well, all for under $100. Make sure you change out your fuel filter anyway.

Did you get the fuel tank replaced under the recall? If not, and the fuel pump is old and cruddy the dealer will replace it. At least that is what happened to me.... Good luck, keep us posted on how things work out.
