Default Ignition won't turn past lock. Please please help!

I living in Montana far removed from anything Land Rover. Tried all recourses in Billings so you guys are my last effort before I take it to the junk yard (seriously cause I've tried all I know to do) sooo

I drive a 96 dico 1 and it's keys got seriously lost so I purchased a used tumbler assembly with a key. Everything plugs in but the key wont go past lock. Thoughts?
If anything, could there be a way to bypass the imoblizer to wire it for a toggle switch start?

Repair the tumbler. It's easy. Remove the pin that holds it in the housing. Put your key in the removed tumbler and find which of the pins is high. Fix, file or remove it. Put tumbler back in, stake the tumbler retaining pin and enjoy turning the ignition on. If your really desperate you can remove the ignition switch (black plastic part at end of assembly) and just turn that while your fixing the tumbler.
