Trying to find replacement sub woofer speakers for a 2004 D2 Harmon Kardon system. Been searching all over with no luck!
Got a complete sub woofer assy P/N XQA000010A / Phillips - speakers barely move.
Got a replacement set of 6.5" Pyramid 300W / 4 Ohm - move even less than the Phillips.
Swapped out the amp with a known good one - same results.
I have the feeling I have the wrong type of speakers in both cases above.
Does ANYBODY know what type of replacement speaker (Wattage / Ohms) I need?

Stock head unit?

 

Why not repair the original ones? The HK's are actually pretty good - polymer cones,large magnets. Normally only issue is the surrounds, you can get replacement surrounds.

 

Yes. The entire system is stock. Head unit (with factory nav), amp, CD changer, and speakers.

 

Here’s the rub - I never knew if the subs ever worked. Noticed they were not making any noise about a year ago. Only speakers I’ve ever seen in the tailgate are Phillips. Head unit with factory nav., HK amp, HK speakers (A pillars and doors), CD changer, mystery sub woofer.
