Just finishing up head gasket on my 2000 discovery 2 and these two connectors are Vexing me. I don't know what they attach to. They exit the upper manifold and are in the end of the loom that holds the injectors connectors.

Are these ACE connections? I don't have ACE so maybe they were jammed in the upper manifold, unused. But they don't look unused.

you have the ac compressor and map sensor plugged in?

 

Throttle position sensor for the round one, and the PCV valve on the hose clipped to the rocker cover for the square one.

 

The 2-wire connector in your hand goes to your air injection valve (SAI) and the other looks like it has 3 wires which would go to your throttle position sensor as br0keit posted. If you have RAVE, they are listed as connectors C0175 and C0880 in the electrical section under Connector Details. That's a pretty useful section for identifying plugs.
