Default need new shocks

I am looking it switching my shocks and springs on my 2000 disco and I was wondering if bilstien or ome is better? Also by switching from air shocks to springs is there any electrical issues to deal with? In order for the compressor and auto leveler to stop working.

OME is more for off roading, Bilstein is for more road. Both will do both though.
www.discoweb.org has a good write up on how to convert from air to coils in the tech section.

Not really, both work well on and off road. The biggest concern I have is Bilsteins are shorter then OME's and don't allow as much extension of the coils.
