The Double-Cardon joint goes to the rear (closest to Trans). The bolts are torqued to 35ft/lbs. Make sure you use new nylock nuts, available at mot hardware stores.

There is only one way it can go on front to back, the bolt hole spacing is different - double cardan to the back. Note that on the front flange the bolt holes are equally spaced, or the rear flange they are not.

you should re-grease the centering ball before putting it on.

shes all in... thanks for the info guys.

man what a pain in the ***, they couldnt make the damn things a half inch wider so you can actually use a torque wrench without hammering on a ujoint adapter and thin walled socket first! 3 minute affair was 20 minutes just because of that. lameness!

I don't bother with sockets and a torque wrench, just tighten them as far as you can with a 3/8" socket and a flat wrench. It's not a head you are torquing, as long as you do not strip the bolts or nuts you are fine.
