Default Need some adivce asap!!!!!!

2003 Disco Series II started to bellow grayish/white smoke out of exhaust today, not sure what could be causing this. Had the intake gaskets done 2 months ago before I bought but not sure if they were done right. Any help or advice is much appreciated!!!

stop driving it; you need head gaskets most likely.

So head gaskets more then likely.... How big of a job and cost?? Can it be done by myself at home? Have the service manual but this is my first Disco...

$300 parts, $200 machine shop to skim the heads flat. 2 long weekends, week inbetween for machine shop. Or $1500 - $1700 indy shop, or $2500 - $3500 dealer. But normally HG would make white smoke, from steam entering combustion chambers, coolant level will drop, hoses may be extra hard, and temp gauge may read higher, or a scanner that can read OBDII live data will show higher temp than normal. Frequently there is the sound of rushing water under the dash, that is bubbles in the coolant. Can have millky colored oil, from leak into oil. May not show on dipstick, may have to drain to see. A darker exhaust smoke is usually running very rich, and a blue smoke is normally oil being burned (valves), You can buy a $50 test that will test the coolant for exhaust gas in coolant, does maybe 15 tests, from auto parts store.

You want to be sure it is coming out the tail pipe, and not just oil dripping on to exhaust manifold while driving.

-What's the temp there this morning?
-How long had it been sitting since last started up?
-Any overheating recently?

You're not losing ANY coolant? Or not losing much? Headgaskets while likely, seems to be a bit of a stretch. I get white 'smoke' most mornings when it's cooler.

this morning when I got up and started it was 32 degrees. The last time I started it up was about 5 pm yesterday and drove it fine. No overheating at all, the temp has stayed at its normal position. Not losing ANY coolant, cause one thing a friend told me was to check the coolant every morning before starting it. Which I have done, even this morning, and its always been at the full position. But what is weird is that I had drove it for awhile this morning and then started to notice the white smoke coming out of exhaust....

Checked oil, oil looked fine, no milkshake tint to it. And truck has 80,500 miles on it....
