Stick the key in the door, unlock and hold the key kin the unlock position for 3sec.
To use it is the same way only by holding the key in the lock position for 3 sec, dont do that.
Never use superlock, ever, if your battery goes dead you will literally be locked out of your truck forever.

To disable it you need a scanner capable of making changes to the BCU.

IMHO it would be wise to disable this function by cutting the wire that applies power to all the superlock motors. That is pink/slate , pin 1, on the attached connector. Schematic attached as well.

The superlock and regular lock motors share a common. Don't cut that. The IDM module on the fuse block reverses polarity to lock/unlock things. But if the power can't get to the superlock motors, it can't get super locked. Easy to re-connect when you want to.

If this does not work for you, the BCU has options for superlock:

Superlocking None Superlocking is not available.
Double The vehicle will superlock on a double press of the remote transmitter or double key turn.
Single The vehicle will superlock on a single press of the remote transmitter or a single key turn.
No key The vehicle will superlock on a single press of the remote transmitter but not with the key.

How about you tell us why you want to disable the Super Lock in the first place. If you don't like it, quit double clicking your lock button when locking.

Default Superlock

My key fob is busted and Im waiting for a new one...but what happened I really didnt like... is it must have got hit by accident when putting the keys in my pocketbook BEFORE I got out of the Disco. I was locked in the car and could not get out and could not get the key fob to work. I cant remember what I did next, I poked at the key fob and I might have hit the unlock button on the dash, but I got out somehow.

I can disable the BCU with my scanner.

So, there is nothing wrong with the lock system, it is you and a lack of how to use it.
Don't double click the fob or turn the key twice and the Super Lock won't activate, when it does, push the dash button twice to unlock and you are out.

thankfully my BCM already had superlock disabled when I bought it... though it took me a while to realise it was set to "transit mode".

No, it is not me. It is the broken fob. You are ADMIN and I expect you to be courteous, and not make personal assumptions or insuations. Suppose I let a friend use my Disco. Im not going to try and explain superlock to them. Its a stupid feature for me, when Ive never locked anything, ever, because I live in the middle of nowhere and dont need it.
