Default New 2" Lift / Mud Tire?

Just ordered a 2 inch lift to make the disco not look like a grocery mobile. Looking for advice for a good looking tire. L8 says 31.5 is probably the tallest and want to keep the original LR rim. Rig clocks about 1k miles or less a year so ride or wear isn't a concern. Dry rot before I wear the tread off.

Agreed. 32 should fit easily, and a 33 if you don't mind minor rubbing.

Do you have the stock front bumper? That may also require minor trimming with a 33.

I run 33s on all mine, but I've got an extra inch of lift.

Still have the stock front bumper and don't want to have to trim it. Guess 32 inch is the tallest I can run.

I have a 31.75" tire and 2" lift. No rubbing and drives fine but I have skinny 235/85-16 tires.

yes 32s will be fine.

265/75/16

275/65/18 are standard 32” sizes that fit well and look good.

So I'm tire stupid....will the 275 fit on a factory rim since it originally had a 255 on it?

Yes.

275 means the widest part of the tire is 275mm wide. Measured at the sidewalk bulge, so it varies some with rim width, but it will fit handily.

The second number is your sidewall height measured as a *percentage* of the first number. So if you have a 275/75, then your sidewall is 75% of 275mm. That would make 206mm from rim to tread.

Then of course the last number is your rim size measured in inches.
