Default New Brakes All Around

Just put new pads and rotors on the front and back. The old rotors looked fine on the outside but when I took the first one off the front, it looked terrible on the inside. Very bad shape. Anyway, 4 new rotors and new pads and she stops a lot nicer now. Very easy to change, I think it was the easiest brake system to work on of any vehicle that I have owned.
The headliner/roof drains project is next.

Did you use plenty of caliper grease on the correct pieces during the brake job? If the inner brake pads were worn much more than the outer pads, then the calipers were seizing from insufficient lubrication.

Other than the potentially stripped screws (and yes, I know that's not the proper term) holding the rotors to the hubs, brakes on these are a cakewalk.

I just made sure the pins on the calipers were moving freely. One of them on the back was sticking, so I greased it. The others all looked good.

x2 easy brakes. i love how the caliper opens up and the pads just slide right out/in with one bolt removal.

my old jeep was easy too, but not this easy. I had drums on the rear also on that jeep...man I hated working on drum brakes...lol

The single BEST thing about vehicle modernization is rear disc brakes, IMO. Drum brakes make me angry within 5 minutes usually.

Did you do a 2 quart brake flush with DOT 4 after the brake job?

I did not do a 2 qt flush. I know I read in one of the stickys about that but I haven't done it. I have noticed that you ask that question in all the brake threads so it must be important. I will have to read up on that and get it done.

Mike, I'm curious. In other posts past I've noticed you have said a 3 pint flush, but lately it's been 2 quarts. Why the change? I flushed my brakes last weekend. I suctioned the fluid from the reservoir, refilled with clean, then gravity bled each wheel until the fluid ran clear (in the sequence per RAVE). I only used one quart (or two pints), but I had flushed the brakes in the same way 2 years ago. Is the 2 quart flush mandatory, or just for dirty fluid?
