Hey guys, got a 4.6 coming from Steve and 'm gathering all my cooling equipment now. Searching for thermos, I know I don't want the white junk. I found two grey ones on rover north, curious if the $35 one is just as good as the $80 one. With such an investment, I'd tend to lean towards the $80 OEM European one, you?

Sorry if this offends any salty dogs...

 

OEM thermostat is the way, the cheaper ones don't open as consistently at the same temps. There's also the option of the inline thermo mod which is what I'd do.

 

spend the money on the OEM td-5 stat, especially with a new engine
