I now have a chime sound anytime I open the driver's door, no key in ignition, it just starts going off. didn't used to do this and no new codes. is this indicative of an issue or is it now working properly? thanks...

 

likely the ignition switch is "wobbly" and it thinks the key is still in there....does the key work ok ?

 

Check your light switch, maybe a connector is gunk'd up and reading that your running lights are on and chiming. Its unlikely but it happened to me, so after you check the ignition maybe try playing with your switch.

My first thought is that you have done something to anger the Rover Gods.
You should repeat "God Save the Queen" three times and salute the first Union Jack you see.

I hate when I anger the Rover Gods. But hey- I sacrificed a transmission gasket this weekend and had lots of ATF running down the exhaust pipe, my arm, the carboard box, the asphalt, do you think that'll do for a sacrifice?
