Looks like something came loose. Now I need a diff carrier assy.
Surprisingly, the ring and pinion have minimal backlash.
I’m assuming the front diff is the same as the rear? Interchangeable?

Front and rear diff are not interchangeable. Think about it, one hangs off the front of the axle housing (rear) and the other (front) hangs off the rear of the housing.
