Buying a crucial part of a drivetrain from an unknown source is idiotic.

So what are "known" sources?

Why such a vendetta against this guy? Or are you pushing some other agenda. If someone has a good experience with a new product, why do feel such a need to pass judgment about something you obviously have no experience with?

Balanced at 100mph is a joke. The equipment used to balance a drive line does not go by mph it goes by rpm.
But its okay because he is still learning how these things work.
This guy buys these drive shafts out of Florida and pretends to have a shop..... 6 months ago he was selling what was a "after market" drive shaft but his problem was that he had no idea about the product. I spoke with him and had him send me very detailed pictures and what he had was a factory unit with new universal joints and even worse he lied about the brand of universal joints. Because he again does not build these he orders them in and then resells them!!! go tatton go!

I just don't trust rando dudes who sell a bunch of different vehicle manufacturer parts on Fleabay and can't spell. ^LR2001's shaft has been used and tested extensively, as has tom woods or GBR, just saying.

Isn't the grease zerk on the RH of the double-cardon in the "less than optimal" orientation in the ebay driveshaft? It sure looks that way given the red grease blob.

lr2001silver: I've just rebuilt my shaft - never had any issues with vibration or such, just was still running on the OE setup (looks to be the original shaft, 118K miles, and all the bearings were still in good shape, but at least now I won't be thinking about it all the time LOL).
I swapped everthing out with USA made GKN HD yokes and Moog centering ball - and hoping it'll not show any vibrations when re-installed. If it does, and I take it to a local driveline shop for a balance, what would be a "going rate" for a balance - just so I know I'll not be being hosed....

Thanks!

If you brought me your drive shaft and asked if we could check it? Balancing would be no more than $30 at max. It sounds like you did your rebuild in depth compared to most! The GKN & moog ball should not cause you any problems. But more than likely you will need to get it re-balanced after a true rebuild.

I don't have a large quantity of either, but I often rush things and don't trust myself to not forget something crucial

lr2001silver is the source for driveshafts. I will be purchasing one from him as soon as I get some extra dough. I talked to him personally, and he saved me from buying an inferior product. Even though I haven't bought one from him yet, I would look no further.
