Dane: " Its annoying when someone asks a question and get more questions in return, just answer his question. I know you might be trying to do good, but word it differently, don't talk to anyone the same way as you would to a child. You do have a history for being a dick also, so I call it as I see it. Disco Mike must've really rubbed off on you didn't he while he was around, you better just tell this guy its his driveshaft, give him your phone number, pat yourself on the back, and call it a day."

Ok, thinking I was wrong in the way I responded, I apologized, but that wasn't good enough for the great Dane from Las Vegas, Nevada; he had to hit me again, harder. Claiming something about my having something in common with Disco Mike. Where, in hell, did that come from? Truth is, I know little about Disco Mike; had little to no relationship with him, so if you have anger issues with Mike, don't blame me or get me involved with that--hell, I hardly know him; only noticed a few of his posts here, same as ones by you. You, Dane, on the other hand, somehow feel that you have authority to rudely TELL me to "just answer his questions;" to "word it differently," " don't talk to someone the way you would to a child." You, the great Dane, claim that "I have a history of being a dick." Really, you mean, in your mind, that I have a history of being a dick. Dane, WHO GAVE YOU THE AUTHORITY TO JUDGE POSTS BY OTHERS ON THIS SITE; WHO ARE YOU TO BE RESORTING TO CALLING OTHERS ON SITE NAMES, SUCH AS A DICK, when I NEVER DID ANYTHING REMOTELY SIMILAR TO YOU? Well, my young man, Dane, I have received a number of compliments from others on this site, who consider me among the most Rover knowledgeable on the site. Further, if you would bother reading the above posts in this thread, Dane, you would see that Dave 03S, Triplethreat, and Dan7 don't agree with you, but I am sure that won't change your mind. So, Dane, you tell me who appears to be the dick here? In the future, do us both a favor, and if you don't like something I say, just ignore it; go back into your Las Vegas Casino and drink some more; leave me alone. If you choose to attack me again, I will do same in kind, young man.

Disco Mike just got sour, I would be too if I heard the same questions and had to answer the same questions and have the same routine for years. He was a very knowledgeable person when it came to rovers, and he has helped a large amount of people, but none of you can tell me that he wasn't bitter near the end. I'm just saying when he was at the end of his "forum career," he was sick, tired, and didn't want to answer the very same question he had answered probably the day before; so it made him a little bitter. I can see that attitude has rubbed off on a few people. I stand by my post, he asked a question, answer it. He knows what's wrong, he's just asking for an opinion on what route to go through with.
The sweet irony of being a dick while calling someone a dick.
I love it.
but hey, maybe we can all try a bit harder to keep this a positive site for both the old and the new... If you see someone's advice and you don't agree with it just offer up an alternate view. No need for name calling or indignation. No need for arrogance even if you are a Rover Master Technician.
In the spirit of things, I apologize for making a snarky comment aimed at popping the balloon of arrogance on one occasion. On the other side of the coin I believe I have helped many more here than I've harmed by giving what some may consider amateur advice.
The way I see it is that this site has saved my *** on many occasions in the past and I am thankful enough to pass some of my experiences on to others in similar situations. Paying it forward so to speak.
We really are all here to learn and share with others, especially noobs, with information that will keep these great truck on, and off, the road. Even if that requires getting more background information... asking questions... etc.

Answer the question, then ask questions. It's pretty simple. I felt the word dick was well suited after reading his more than unfriendly posts previously.

Okay, maybe the Dmike thing was too much, got a little carried away. I was being hypocritical when I called you a dick, and was being a dick. I am Sorry, didn't see you said sorry also, or I would've dropped it. I just saw the tone of your writing as a condescending, I should've PM'd you and kept it in private.
Dane.
