Default New fuel pump/plugs/wiresNow it is sucking gas!

Hi all,
(Again). I posted last week about engine light blinking. Got a new fuel pump, wires, plugs, etc. Now, I cannot fill the tank all the way. It goes almost to full, and now it seems to be sucking gas majorly. I notice a rattling/vibration when I pick it up last week, then tried to fill the tank it only took 17 gallons. Drove it a little bit, then took it back to the dude, he looked underneath the car where the gas tank is and said a bolt was off. he put a new bolt on. I tried to fill it today, the gage is almost full, but I drove it 5 miles and it is almost down to the next line. Also, the engine light is still on and the mechanic said to drive it awhile so it can get air through it. (a few people here said that was right), but now the dang thing is blinking again, very sluggish up to 50 mph, seems like it is back to where it was last week before all of this work. I was afraid it wasn't going to make it home yesterday.
Any suggestions or should I just take it back or take it to someone else, or just give up?
PS: Before last week, I would get at least 325 miles out of one tank of premium. My driving habits haven't changed (around town and some highway)

Thanks again!

PS: Buying a Volvo xc90 tomorrow, relegating the LR to the third car.

Take it to someone else. Give them the invoice with what he did to the truck.
He killed your MAF sensor when he cleaned it. That is most likly causing the problem with the runability.
As far as the gas tank goes. When he replaced the fuel pump he messed up the fuel level sending unit. So when the gas tank is full the gauge doesnt think that it is full.
Example:You fill the tank to overflowing. The dash reads 3/4 full. So when you are empty you actually have 1/4 tank of fuel left.
You need to find a new mechanic.

I know, but I don't want to shell out any more money for this thing. How about if I print out what you all are telling me and make him do it for free? he should!

Sounds like a plan. He should fix it for free. You went in for a problem and he did not fix that problem, and for $2300 it should be fixed.
