Why in THE HELL would you resurrect a thread from 2005? Obviously $25K for a 1-year old truck that had a $40K sticker cost was average but you made a bunch of members look like *********, wasting their time simultaneously. Do a search for Front Driveshaft or Coolant Temps, inline thermostat, engine oils, cooler operating temperature and so on.

I was actually happy with the $6,000 I paid with some repairs and an inspection for my disco 2. a long ways to go tho... just bled the brakes and replaced the wiper switch (cleaning the the old one and saving as a reserve ) . I must say that, as much as I hate it... it's fun to drive. the driver's compartment is amazing, which is one of the reasons I bought one.
