How do you like the glowshift oil cooler adaptor? I have a stock oil cooler and think about installing it using that.

I retrofitted my D2 with an oil cooler and use the Earl's sandwich adapter, which comes with an integrated thermostat. It brought oil temperatures down up to 20 degrees F.

I’ve never checked the oil temp. I did fit a 2002 oil cooler. The sandwich adapter is for the mechanical oil pressure gauge I installed.

Did you use the ports on the front cover to attach the cooler lines? I tried that first and it didn't work because my front cover doesn't allow flow through these ports.

Yes. I got the lines with the cooler. Connected right up to the ports on the front cover.

Has your front cover two oil pressure relief valves? Otherwise there isn't much oil flow through the cooler.

After ordering a new tensioner, followed by a new balancer pulley, finally took her for a shakedown run.

Runs smooth and strong. No strange noises or leaks - only been 45 miles…

Surprised it all came together. New motor, rebuilt steering box and new PS lines, new shocks, springs, and all suspension bushes.

Hopefully she stays running longer this time!!!
