New Hybrid Program to Start at CMU
I saw a news story the other day about a new initiative that is being started jointly with Carnegie Mellon University and some other Pittsburgh organizations to develop a program for converting/retrofitting existing vehicles to run off of new electric/hybrid technologies.
Wonder if a stripped down Disco would be a good platform. For years, I have felt there should be a modular unit developed for just such a retrofit type program. Looks like they will be doing something along those lines.
Can't wait to see what they come up with. Hell I would volunteer to participate in that one. They want to develop it as a new industry for the economically depressed steel mills area here.
