Default new to me disco2 few issues

ok so i just purchased a 2002 discovery 2, runs rough, service engine soon light is on/ flashing, hopeing to replace the plugs and wires and it smooths out and the light goes away ( i also ordered a code reader to double check)

i took it down the street after towing it home,( bought not running , replaced a relay and it started) and it wouldnt go over 20 mph, bogged down, misfiring (hoping wires fix this)

but i was checking all the bells and whisles and the wipers and squirters front and rear do not work( fuses and relay are good) and the cigarette lighter fuse has no power to it.

also whats missing in the picture? i have the same plug on the drivers side and nothing plugged into it as well..

It's where a heated screen plugs in. You don't have ones

Codes?

That plug is for the heated windscreen.

Looks like the glass was replaced with a non-heated version or the truck was not originally fitted with that option.

If you have a meter check the charging/battery voltage. Low v can play all sorts of trickery with codes. Maybe drop into a parts store so they can load test the system. Always a good start.

Maybe look at an Ultra gauge. I keep an eye on my volts there, as well as temps.
