I took my scanguage II with me on my last few LR purchases including my Kalahari. Temps were 183-193F, and when I inspected the drive shaft it had a brand new LR sticker on it.

Yep getting a feel of the owner can tell a great deal on how the vehicle was taken care of. The guy I got the Kalahari from was sad he was selling it, and when he talked about it, he showed the same passion I have for LR's so I knew it had been well taken care of.
Is there an app that will do same as the scangauge? I downloaded an app for my Excursion and it works great.
Has even more than the scangauge does.

I know the owner of the 95 and he takes good care of his vehicles as he is a mechanic. Although he hasn't owned this vehicle very long. He actually took it in trade for work he did on another LR.
The 94 is a private seller who owns 3 Discovery that are all immaculate and serviced maticulously with all service records. He is selling due to having Parkinson and will no longer be able to drive unfortunately.

Secondary Air System, SAI is found on most 03-04 D2s with 4.6 engine. It's part of the emissions control system. Few problems but can get in your way while working, add sources for vacuum leaks and may be more parts to replace if broken. Probably causes more issues for those having to deal with vehicle emission testing. Comes with the territory.

Okay got it. I'm looking more 94-95 so I don't think I will have to worry about that?

That's a D1 and you might wanna look at the D1 forum for more specific info. It'll be a 3.9L V8 distributor system with a 14CUX engine management system. Basically a RRC with Discovery body shell.

You'll just be worrying about driving a 21-22 y.o. less modern vehicle and fine if for play.

I had an 03' 4.6 D2 that originally came from Texas, no SAI. I should have kept it!

Passed smog from the tailpipe. I was stupid and mentioned that it didn't have a SAI system to the smog guy, he instantly went into search mode but finally decided that I didn't know what the SAI system was and said the air pump was not visible.

That's okay I have owned a 68 CJ5 and a 69 Wagoneer so Im used to an older vehicle. A 94-95 D1 will seem like new compared to the Jeeps I have owned

I didn't know there was a specific D1 forum here? I don't see it?
