Default new owner of 2001 LR Disco 2 seeking help. (Throttle body Heater bypassed, unknow)

Hello All members, (UPDATE)

I am a recently a new to me 2001 LR disco 2, i purchase with knows issues, i had try to search this forumn and could find what i am looking for. Maybe me searching skill is not as good as other younger clad.
anyway, I have the following issue i am trying to resolve, any help or suggestion would greatly appreciated:
1 - Exhaust leaks, when i start the car it sound like there is no muffler. i craw under the car and confirm the muffler is there. no holes in the muffler. I notice the exhaust sound is louder closer to the engine.
- Found the issue, the down pipe after the header looks like it was separate from the Flange (see Photo 1 A).
i was able to see a small leak at the down pipe connecting to the muffler. which the nut was rusted and seizes (See phot 1B). I broke the bolt and now half of the spline bolt is stuck on the down pipe side. Tried hitting it with a hammer, no luck. maybe some suggestion would be great ( i don't have access to a oxycline torch).
1A, I notice heavy black built up around the header area (see photo 1). maybe there is a leak there. I will try the shop vac as a air pump, pumping air into the exhaust tip and spray the system with soap and water to fine the leak.
2 - Throttles Body Heater (TBH) i saw a hack job bypass at the TBH, I am wondering what was the purpose of the TBH? and why would the previous owner bypass it (see photo 2)?
3 - unknow hose and connection. behind and under the coolant reservoir there was a unconnected hose and some kind of solenoid (see photo 3).

In removing my exhaust manifold, I also snapped a few of the studs. What got 2 out of 3 out was on blaster and knipex pliers

The third one I just drilled out after I annihilated it trying other methods

Since it looks like you're already planning to replace the manifold gasket, it will be easier to get that stud(s) out. I think they're m8x1.25

It does look like a lot of people bypass that throttle body heater when it begins to leak.

Not sure what #3 is but if no one else chimes in I can see if what I have matches yours, I think it's part of the cruise control if that photo is on right side of engine bay?

#3 is the cruise control actuator. Uses (3.5mm?) vacuum lines. I'm well away from my own D2 that I can't check the quantity of lines and the routing, unfortunately.

Still looking for idea on how to fix the Y down pipe broken weld. buying and sourcing a used down pipe for the d2 is really hard in Canada (Edmonton). I am thinking about aligning Y pipe and mark it. try to remove it and weld it back togther. I thing I worry are the rusty nuts that will give me headaches.

Any tips would greatly appreciated.

Broken weld (flange and down pipe)

@Edm_disco2 Get it welded, it is common failure point. As to the nuts a ton of penetrating over a few days oil is your friend. Then an electric impact on the lowest setting (they are only 22ft/lbs of torque) go tight then loose until they free up, just a quick squeeze until they move.

Yeah, take it to muffler shop and have them weld it.
