Default New owner of a 96 disco 4.0

I just bought a 96 Disco and I love it. I always wanted to own one. Now I need some help. The truck has 168000 miles, the head gasket was just replaced and I did the radiator flush and added a couple of cans of sea foam to the gas tank; I cleaned the throttle body to. The car also has a brand new bola exhaust and is running strong. It has no leaks and all of the fluids are full. The engine is currently running on 10w 40w Pennzoil high mileage .I want to know what other maintenance I should do on her so that it keeps running strong. I don't know when was the last time the spark plugs or the cables were change, but they look clean, how can I know if I should replace them. And I will also like to know if any of you guys know where I can get my headliner re done in the Orlando Area. I need this truck to be my daily driver for a minimum of a year until I get enough money to trade it for a 2004 se7. Thanks a lot and this forum is awesome .

First things first, premium gas! It's more than worth it, I put nothing less than 93 octane in my 96. If it doesn't have Magnecore wires I'd replace 'em now and save yourself the check engine light in the future. Magnecores are bright blue. Also if the fluids in the diffs, tranny, and trans case are old or you don't know when they were replaced you should consider doing them pretty soon. Full synthetics though, get the good stuff, cause again it's more than worth it. Welcome to the forum

If you didnt do it it has not been done.
Any auto tint/upholstry shop can recover your headliner.

I would do an ATF flush and then follow my service list at the top of this site.

I would NOT do a ATF flush, just switch to full synthetic and let the oil clean your engine over time as you run the risk of dislodgeing sludge and clogging your oil pump, lifters, oil passages etc.
We have had way to many people lately trash their engine by doing the ATF flush.

I am not saying you have to use Pennzoil, but this will explain what the full synthetics do.
I use Mobil 1.
Any name brand full synthetic will do.
