New Tire Time...
Funny cause I'm in the market for new tires just now too (as much as I don't want to be). Think I will go with the Grabber HTS. Hope Discount has them in stock.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Grabber AT 2? They look/sound really good. I actually have a guy in my apartment complex with them on his D2. Maybe I will hang out in the parking lot long enough to catch him and ask him.

If you get them, you wont be disappointed.
Great, thanks for the advice!
The only thing keeping me from the Grabbers at the moment is that 245/75 is not available anywhere but a Nevada warehouse. The 245/70s are in stock in Delaware and my local tire guy (friend) can get them ASAP. I'm going to do some mental debate over the Toyos after I see them today vs the smaller Grabbers.
instg8r, no my Disco is not running Megasquirt, at least not yet! I was just starting to look into it more this week because I'm sick of looking at my post cat O2 caused CEL! I haven't been able to find any good information on the stock crank sensor, most guys do EDIS for some reason and that's a step backward IMHO. Once I compile all the info and get a spare GEMS ecu I'll do a plug and play harness to try and see what MS can do on my Disco. Shouldn't be too hard for me, I do MS setups for VW's all the time and have built over 150 systems in the past few years. My 'race car' 1995 VW GTI has been powered by MS1,2 and I'm currently beta testing MS3. Check out my site KPTuned.com or email me at kandpperformance@gmail.com to talk more about MS if you'd like!

An update to this thread.. finally. I decided to not get the tires until the weather turned and it finally did.
I ended up getting 245/75/16 Dunlop Rover A/Ts. I couldn't get Grabbers in that size, nor the Kumho's without paying some crazy shipping from other warehouses. These came in just under $150/tire m&b.
My disco isn't lifted so there's some minor rubbing at full lock but only in reverse with the wheel cut to the right. I'll live with that.
Performance so far has been great in the crazy rain and two snows we've had so far. They handle water fairly well, which is a problem I've heard about with the BFG A/T's.
I don't need a true off road tire so these seem like a decent compromise thus far. I'll keep everyone posted as they wear.
Thanks everyone for their ideas and recommendations.

Just put 255-70-16's Cooper ATR's on my 02 with stock suspension yesterday. No rubbing. These tires are priced great and so far great. Very quiet tire with great on road manners. The reviews are very good. I will be putting on a 2 inch lift soon. Brakes first.
