Default New Tire Time. Dynapro or Open Country?

Looking to get new tires Thursday and I'm between the Hancook dynapro at's and the Toyo Open Country AT2's. I have the 2in TF HD lift and am looking to go from 265/60r18 to 265/65r18's. Any opinions or experience before I do a coin toss to make my decision? I do 90% highway so I don't want anything that howls like crazy.

I have the Dynapro ATm at the moment, and they've been great. On highway, they're not exactly highway tire quiet, but they're not mod tire loud either.

If I had to rate the noise:

I concur with the above post. My dynapros are a shade over 40k miles and could do another 10k. I don't really ever rotate them too often and they've worn even and I do find them to behave great on the road. Weakness, as with most A/Ts would be deep sticky mud, but the lugs clean well with a dose of throttle.

Driving in snow both on and off road has been no problem.

If I had fixed my three amigos sooner, I would probably have gotten stuck zero times. Tires only account for so much with only one wheel spinning....

I run Toyo A/T and M/T on all my rigs for work as well as personal (11 SUVs). I have had good service from all of them.

Haven't tried Hancook or Toyo, but switched from(%75 new), hwy tires to Nitto terra grappler's, & it was surprisingly as quiet & more comfortable.
I don't know if u want to consider, new G2 version comes in size u want and rated 60k miles, if u consider it's between $170 to $180, each.

I have a set of the Toyo Open Country AT2-Plus. A really nice tire with quiet on-highway road manners and excellent off-road traction.

Thanks for the input guys. I ordered the Dynapros today and am going to have them put on in the morning. Both had such good reviews I basically made my choice on the Dynapros because of the weight. They were only about a lb heavier than my current tires that are smaller and the Dynapros were roughly 5lbs lighter than the Open Country's. I looked all over and all the specs seemed a bit different so my weights could be completely wrong but it's worth a shot.

No experience with Dynapro but I had the Open Country AT2's. This Toyo tire is one of the best AT's I've tried.

I had the Toyo AT's on another truck and thought they were fairly loud considering the tread design in comparison to the previous tires.

For my family D2 (aka the wifeys), I have a TF 2" and just put on Cooper Discoverer H/T PLUS 285/60 R18. Very happy with them, roughly 31.5" and fit perfectly. Totally silent tire and at least in this size the tread pattern has some nice spacing where they would be more than adequate in some light off highway scenarios and snow

So after just a few miles on the new dynapros I have to say I love them. They are so much nicer than my BFG rugged terrains ever were. I uploaded some pics to my photobucket but I cant seem to figure out again how to post here. So once I learn how to post pics again I'll put a couple up.
