Default New transmission

I was experiencing spurious M & S flashing warnings for a couple of months, which grew more frequent and wouldn’t always clear upon restarting truck. One day, however, the s**t hit the fan and the truck started off like a bucking bronco from a full stop, gradually taming in higher gears. Perused the forum on issues related to XYZ switch, etc. Local member Extinct helped to diagnose issue - torque converter or possibly transmission.

I opted to replace entire transmission and truck now drives (again) like a dream. Posting for comment and future reference for all.

Unusual failure for sure, seemed like a torque converter clutch shudder. Have not heard of that before or seen it on a Disco or P38. Glad to hear it is back to normal.

Default Thanks

I really wanted the truck on the road for the winter so other cars could be garaged, or else maybe I’d have spent more time diagnosing (or scratching my head). I really appreciated your assistance in looking into the issue!
