The Moog 344 is not the worst joint in the world. I have seen them fail and that's why I will not run them. SO spend the extra money and get a far better part with a GKN TVC100010G (HD) or GKN TVC100010D (MD).
Compare the moog and the GKN side by side. The bearing in the MOOG are tiny. For years I've always had good results with GKN joints.
I know RovahFarm > RovahFarm for all your new Land Rover Parts and Accessories and Lucky8 both have very good prices on GKN. Call them, it's worth the money.
Whatever you do NEVER buy or even except as a gift GMB!!! Water pumps, U- joints, anything! Total scrap.

Always smart to do your homework. I'm confident that Justin/Erik @ L8 will have a similar opinion re: GKN joints. And maybe the best part of that is it won't be a shop trying to give you a B$ up-sell.

IMO and experience GKN HD and Hardy Spicer HD are the best and last the distance. You get what you pay for in UJ's. It's not worth skimping on the time and effort on a rebuild, particularly the Cardan joint, just to have it fail again in a few thousand miles. GKN are the usual OEM and usually last 100K miles first time around so no better recommendation.

Finally got my new u joints, took a little while due to the bad weather. I got the HD kind from lucky8. My question is, is there a certain way they go in or just remove the drive shaft, remove the old joints and then install the new ones. Also do I need to replace the ball bearing in the cardon joint or will I be ok.
