So basically there is a total of 5 grease point: 3 u joints, 1 by the slip shaft, and 1 on the center ball bearing. Thanks for the information so I now have a better Understanding. Still waiting on the ball bearing still hoping to tackle it this weekend.

It's worth renting or buying a UJ 'G' cramp as in the vid


it does make life a lot easier with the right tools. The biggest bitch is the cardan UJ's and center bearing. Best to do the opposite end single UJ first to gain some practise and find out the easiest methods.

Makes sense what's the best way to get the ball bearing out, or does it come out real easy?

Slide hammer will get that ball out........usually
But definitely the most challenging of all tasks involved

i saw a post where someone used one of those lever action corkscrew to remove the center ball

You can say that again Dusty, the slide hammer and a custom made extractor never shifted the damn thing so I had to carefully grind through the outer race with a Dremel what a nightmare of a job.
