Its the oil pump tsb, if the engine hasn't been replaced already. Lets just say your scr*wed. That or get rid of it.

What is your vin number, and how many miles are on it?

I'm starting to think that oil pump woes aren't limited to just the 2003 models. More and more '04s are experiencing the same oil pump failure. There was a new '04 owner just last week posting about his going belly up.

To the OP about the Amigos...either pay the stealership or track down someone with an ABS Amigo to get that ABS code read. If it comes back as a shuttle valve failure, there's a quick and inexpensive fix. Don't buy into the $3000 replacement spiel.

Run your truck through all of its functions (ie. Hill Decent Control, Low Range gears) and see if the amigos come back. If they do you will need an ABS Amigo or other such tool to get the codes, an OBD2 will not work. For the lift it is recommended here that you go to http://www.lucky8llc.com/Index.asp to get a lift. They have a good deal on the OME lifts and shipping runs about $50 for the kit. You will also need a steering stabilizer and it depends on what other mods you plan on doing as to which kit to get. Medium is the standard but you will need the HD if you plan on a bumper and winch. As for the TSB, since you have it, I would start saving money and keep an eye out for the oil light, if it comes on STOP and get it towed. You can throw another oil pump on there but it will eventually fail as well as there is a problem with the block. The only other solution is a new engine. Just because yours falls within the range doesn't mean that it will def happen though. Depending on the miles, you may want to see if anything has been done to it before you bought it. Hope that helps and happy rovering!

Just to clarify the $50 is just the shipping on the $630 kit.

Sorry to say this but get your wallet ready. Vehicle looks great and is a beast off road but is plagued by the most shoddy craftsmanship i've ever experienced in a vehicle.

There is only one engine for your truck, that is a 4.6L Land Rover engine.
Buy a used one IF you need it, a new one will set you back $7000+.

Almost anything can set of the 3 amigos.
Start by cleaning off any brake dust from the rims and rotors.

+1 spike

start simple. cleaning brake dust off your rims. do a drive cycle. if they don't go away, rent an ABS amigo from josh aka jcsalys or buy your own for $200. dealer will charge you $120 for the diagnostic. if its the shuttle valve failure josh has a writeup on how to fix it. its in the disco "how to" section. could be a hub or wheel sensor though... good luck amigo.
