Default Newbie Question - Engine Scans

I've seen many of the post re: getting codes for various problems. I've got an '03 SE7 with 36,970 miles. Been running nothing but 93 Octane, SES light came on last night.
I'm planning on taking it to Autozone to get the codes read, but I know they will likely ask where the data port is located, I've looked through my manual and haven't seen an reference to the port or it's location (new owner), can you help me out, I understand from some other posts it's somewhere under the steering column. Can anyone help me out here?

Most all vehicles including Rovers have their data port don by the steering column.
Make sure to get back to us with the codes so we can help you.

Amazing how easy it was to find the port when I stuck my head in and opened my eyes! (D'oh)
Code was P0455 EVAP Emission Control System Leak (Large)
I had already tightened the gas cap, cleared the code and it hasn't comeback. I'm assuming the SES and code was the result of a bone head in a rush not tighteneing the cap tight enough (yep, that'd be me).
