Question No Amigos Working No Amigo Warning Lights

I have a 1999 Disco, There is no ABS, TC, HDC or ACE working on this beast.

Now i have looked at the ABS Modulator and there is oil at the bottom of the solenoids and prob needs replacing and if i unplug it there is a (!) in red that comes on the dash.

The instrument cluster is quite loose so im thinking maybe someone took the bulbs out or broke them and thats why there is no warning lights. Where should i start guys?

As well as all that the ACE system does not seem to work, the tank is empty but worries it might be empty for a reason.

I know i should get a scanner ... anyone suggest a good mid market one that will assist with all this?

Start w the light bulbs. You need to get those working and coming on (and off) when they should. Then decide if figuring out the ACE situation is worth a possible big giant puddle on the floor. Most likely it leaked out from somewhere. You'll probably figure it out quick.

it would not be uncommon to find all the led's covered/painted or broken.
the Ace system does not use a tank it runs off your power steering pump.

icarsoft i930 is a nice middle of the line instrument, they run approx.$120 new, (1 in the for sale section)
unlike a regular obd scanner it is able to give you your abs and sls codes and works on all models 99+up.

if it is brake fluid under your ABS controller, and not oil,
you will probably need to replace the shuttle valve switches and seals.

The ACE system does have its own tank, the power steering tank is split into two tanks if the vehicle has ACE.

if you want to call half a power steering reservoir an TANK , then yes it has a tank.
all you real ACE equipment is mount under the truck on the passenger side, there is also a filter there.
