Unhappy No heat

there is no waterfall sound or gurgle . the upper and lower heatercore hoses get hot leading me to think that coolant is flowing through the heatercore . when i turn on high heat all i get is cold air . i looked in the manual and saw that there is a separate heater / ac fan with two separate fuses . will check the fuse in the morning to make sure its not blown . but has anyone everheard of the heater fan motor going bad. had system flushed twice so i dont believe that there is an air bubble in the system .the temp is fine.gotta get this fixed becouse its gettin cold. 2000 disco 2 with 115000 .

So, where is your coolant level when the engine is stone cold, have you been having to add coolant?
There are no fuses to make the heater blow hot, you have air in the system, do you know how to bleed the system.

If the coolant is full, and a proper system bleed has been done, I would check the blend door motor under the dash that controls a flap, determining whether air blows through the heater core, or the A/C evaporator.

RAVE can help you find this: http://www.landroverresource.com/

I have the same problem. Last time I bled the system, it took almost 15 minutes for it to blow heat, and even then it was not hot. Shortly after, I drove to the store, and no heat at all, only cold air.
I do hear a small motor/gear turning sound behind the AC/HT controls, mostly when i stop.

Is the gear/motor sound continuous? If so, it sounds like a stripped actuator motor mechanism.

It's a muffled sound, not continuous. The same sound when toggling between 'circulated' air.
Is there a reason it would blow heat immediatly when bled, but not afterwards ?

Also how would I check the blend door motor ? major disassemble ?

I'll try bleeding again, i have read that sometimes it takes multiple bleeding to get all the air out.

Sure, you may be loosing coolant, do a coolant pressure test to verify and repair.

Pressure test revealed Throttle Body heater hose is leaking just beneath the plate where the hose connects. I should have replaced the hoses when i replaced the plate.
Coolant was leaking and running down the valve cover and dripping on plug wire "5"
That explains my heat issue and recent Cyl 5 misfire code.
Will update after hose is replaced.

Thanks
