No Key only the fob
I just purchased a 2001 Disc 2 SD, however I have no key, all I have is the key fob. What are my options family?
Small dent on the passenger side rear door. But no rust anywhere. [img alt="Small dent on the passenger side rear door. But no rust anywhere.

You don't say where you are located, but I would start with calling a locksmith. A good locksmith may be able to make a key for you. If not from the ignition cylinder, perhaps from the door lock cylinder. I had to rebuild the door lock on my truck several years ago, and I learned enough from that to see how a locksmith could create a key by examining the door lock cylinder wafers.
Failing that, you or the locksmith may be able to get a key code from the VIN working through your local Land Rover dealer or Land Rover USA. This will require showing proof of ownership. Using that key code, a locksmith can cut a new key.
But, forum members have reported spotty results doing this to get a key code from Land Rover. Depends on the dealer; some are not willing to help the owner of a 20+ year-old vehicle who's not a customer and isn't likely to become one. Some (most?) won't even work on DIIs anymore.
Failing all that, you could buy and install a replacement ignition lock cylinder and keys. That's the most invasive solution, of course, but both new and used sets are available. There are write-ups on this forum about how to do that.

I think I paid around $75 for two keys made from the door handle. I removed the handle and took it into the locksmith shop. Took them a few hours. In my case it turned out the door and ignition cylinder were not keyed together, so I took the ignition apart and re-keyed it myself to work with my new keys.
You can also have the dealer look up cut-codes from the VIN that a locksmith can use to make a key if you are confident it has never been rekeyed in the past.
