You really need to take it back to him, he "fixed" it, it should be fixed.
Or you get your money back for labor at least.

Just had a thought, it could be a bad fuel injector.

Could a compression leak cause a misfire?

Yes a compression leak could cause a misfire.
Typically what happens on these newer engines is the block cracks, you get a misfire and coolant leak.
New head gaskets, problem still there, loosing coolant and misfire.
The crack is microscopic so it cannot be seen except under a special test.
But you say you are not loosing coolant.

What really sucks, you could have gotten a whole new engine for about $5200 shipped from the UK.

I'm not losing coolant.
I knew about the engine. I throw up in my mouth a little every time I think about it.

I feel your pain.
They were just trying to help and they got screwed and lied to.

Not loosing coolant, replaced plugs, wires, coils and heads, so I am going to say it is a bad fuel injector.
So, unplug that injector, does it run any different?
No?
Theres your problem.
Yes it runs worse, we need to keep looking.

I appreciate it. I'll give that a try tomorrow and post. I love the disco. Ladder, bfg's and roof rack, but I'm not sure... I can't even say it

Anyone know if my bad fuel economy and loss of power and cyl misfire could be from a knock sensor that might be going bad, even though I didn't get a code for a bad knock sensor?

is there a reason your not taking it back to the guy who took your parents for $5000.00? They had to get some type of warrenty for that type of money.

Your symptoms could also be caused by a worn cam shaft.
