So was finally able to get a buddy with a high dollar scanner (like more $ than my Disco) to come scan it. It is getting the CAN bus fail code, and when driving the scanner is getting no info on tps, engine speed, load, etc. It was also reading the wrong gear position. It is aligned best I know, because the dash and console lights light correctly for PRND, then of course D flashes for D321.

The quick check of the XYZ switch (wipers on, put in reverse, rear wiper comes on) was good.

Thinking of grabbing a "known good" trans ecu off ebay for $40, but need to know, are there any specific serial/part numbers to make sure it has? I saw every random number on the ecu's and not necessarily a few different distinguising ones.

I also have a spare engine ecu, but of course it is probably coded to the key or whatever.

So, what is the general concensus on that CAN issues? Harness between engine harness through firewall to ecm looks great. Trans ecu? Eng ecu? Still the xyz? Or???
