Default A noise. Is it PS pump or water pump? Or both?

OK so I have had a persistent noise getting worse in my Disco 2.
I have changed the idler bearing, tensioner, belt and the dreaded harmonic balancer. (yes, all of them!)

But I still have a similar noise to the harmonic balancer issue.

Today I ripped the belt off again. Car makes no noise without the belt... and finally I managed to find my problem. If I rock the pulley for the PS pump, it makes a clicking noise exactly the same as the noise I hear when running.
Only thing, I understand the water pump is driven from here as well and there is some kind of keyway between them? So in my mind it is possible that there possibly is a problem with one or both of these.
So, do I order a water pump, a PS pump or both? There are no water or steer leaks so not keen on replacing what is still working for no reason.

If somebody has some inside knowledge as to how these items connect and whether there is likely to be damage to either or both I would love some advice.

the water pump is driven by the same serpentine belt but it is otherwise not connected to the power steering pump. working on one does not affect the other.

Yeah.... engine is a TD5.

I just realised this is an American biased forum, you only seem to have V8s.
