Default Noise and Rotors

Hey Folks, I have two questions….
First, I have an odd noise I think coming from the front of the truck. It is a little like a gear whine but I only hear the noise under power even when driving a constant speed. If I let off the gas the noise goes away. Any ideas?
Second question has anyone used ‘Proline’ brake rotors on a 2001? I am looking at the drilled and vented rotors.
As always, thanks for the help…..

What is the model / year / miles.

Is your front diff leaking fluid / dry.

Is your tire pressure right.

Is your forward drive shaft OK.

Is your transfer case leaking fluid / dry.

So, as far as the noise goes, what have you already checked????
Possible cuases would be,
alternator, any of the pulleys, power steering pump, Ace pump if you have ACE.
Stay away from the proline rotors, If you want good slotted and drilled rotors stay with the gold standard and buy DBA's from DAP where they also have a $65 price on the EBA kevlar pads. Make sure to switch to stainless steel brake lines and synthetic brake fluid, DOT 4, to handle the extra heat from your kevlar pads.
