I have a 99 disco II with 104K on it....new head gasket, engine flushed and running well. now i have One really load valve (tick tick tick) It is pretty loud. I used a stethoscope, and the sound is comign from the valve over cylinder 6. maybe 8. Question is. if I ghad an oil clog somewhere, would that effect just the one valve, or the whole set in the bank. and if it can effect just the one, is there a way to clean out just the one, or do I have to rip the whole head off to get to it? I'm open to ideas....Thanks!

How mechanical are you?
You need to pul the intake manifold and the valve covers.
Once there you will want to remove the rocker shaft/arms, inspect each shaft and arm surface. Then remove the push rods, one at a time and measure each one for length and wear, make sure the same push rod goes back in the same place. With the push rods out, remove 1 lifter at a time, looking for wear on the cam lobe and lifter surface.
Doing this, you will most likely find warn lifters and or push rods and or rocker arms.
Let us know what you find.
