The fuel pressure test point on the D2 is on the driver side rear of engine (North America) under the top section of the intake manifold. Not very easy to reach. The fuel pump/filter/pressure regulator is in the tank. Access from the top. Pump only runs for about 2 seconds when key turned to position 2, won't continue to run because computer does not detect crankshaft turning. Sometimes with a failing pump you can turn key multiple times to "prime".

Sandi,

Where are you - there may be active members that are nearby. Also, if there are large you-pull-the-parts junkyards, that is a great place to "learn" how to take one out on another truck, or just see how things are put together. Here are the pages from the shop manual, which is called the RAVE. Even if you don't do the work, it helps to see what is involved.

You work on fuel pumps when tank is not full to the brim. No need to drain, but no point in sloshing stuff around.
