I tried this as well but could not get the right adjustment so I just tried bending it with my knee and it helped the problem.

Was a stack of sheets of aluminum. Now it's a couple of fat steel washers. It's sealed an closing properly, but I don't like the way it's fitting yet. May have to redo it again. Sigh.
I suspect jalodge is on to something there.

back to the door adjustment. tried doing mine today and I'm worse off than where I started from! its sagging to where the bottom is contacting before the latch. It wasn't always this way and thought I could adjust it no problem but here I am rekindling a thread...
when the 4 bolts at the door are loosened, it does give you some play, but I think it has to be lifted on while the door is almost in the closed position. Looks like a 3-person job; one inside on the floorboard working the nuts, another person lifting the door and a the 3rd person eye-balling the fitment. But I don't have 2 people, much less 3. I had my girlfriend "tighten" the hinge nuts while I picked-up on the door but she was loosening them instead so didn't make a lot of progress in that round.

It took 1 small washer at each of the 2 bolts on the bottom hinge and it closed shut right dead on the striker and was centered dead nuts along the jamb. I hated to do that but how often do you get right on the 1st try? especially after messing with it for 3-or so hours..
From my time spent on this, I wasn't able to center the door without some extra-curricular hardware so that's just how it has to be. The gap along the door and front fender wasn't exactly equal either but I did crash it in the front, replaced the fender and bumper. I never could get the clip quite square given the equipment I have access to, so I'm not entirely surprised by this. I still mark it up as a win.
