Nut Size for Air Intake Plastic Nut

Since my welded screws were in good shape, I used some generic plastic nuts for European vehicles, can't remember which ones exactly, 10mm? 8mm?....but something like this, super cheap....there are other sizes out there as well...

It's been years since I had an issue with these so I don't recall exactly what happened or why, but as juke179 said I removed the threaded stud and drilled a hole. I then just used a sheet metal screw to secure the intake. Nutsert not necessary.

You can tell it's been many years by the rust on the screw.
