Default OBD port gremlins ..PLEASE HELP.2004 discovery se7

truck is a 2004 discovery se7 USDM .i have gone to 3 places to get my trucks obd port read because of a check engine light.. no one can connect so i began to investigate. there are 4 wires on my obd connector 2 black 1 light brown and 1 light purple. i didn't trust the connector so i cut some of the loom of to expose the wire . no power with ignition on accesory or with the truck turned on. fuse is good with the power outlet. can someone please lead me into the right direction as to what to do.

Download the RAVE tech manual set, which includes wiring diagrams, fuse layout, etc.

If you can tell you have no power at the harness, I can assume you have a meter of some sort. What you need to do is start looking for a cut harness between the fusebox and the OBD port. Check the ground first though.
