Default Oil cooler kit?

Does anyone make an oil cooler kit for the 04 D2?
Will a stock oil cooler from a previous year D2 fit?
I'm sure I can piece something together, but it would be nice if someone had correct length lines, fittings, and mounting hardware.
Knocking the oil temperature down a couple degrees couldn't hurt.
Thanks for any info.

I was going to put one in, too. I decided against the stock due to the difficulty in finding the lines/pipes.

Summit racing has a bunch of oil coolers, and of good size. There are screw holes so you could fabricate an aluminum bracket, but certainly not going to bolt in like a stock.

I also considered a pancake adapter for the oil filter and a stock cooler, but just have not had the time to research how to connect the two.

What I would really like to do is mount one with a fan below the frame in the bumper that way the hot air is blown below the vehicle and not introduced to the cooling system, but I have not seriously researched that option yet.

There are 3 threaded holes with caps on the timing cover. 1 directly above the filter, and I have an adapter there for an oil pressure gage.
There is another above and below it, these are the 2 for the oil cooler lines.
I can get fittings with barbs, but would prefer to have a hydraulic style line with crimped ends.
I was wondering where to put the cooler itself too(with the ac condensor and front electric fan already there.
I like your idea of an electric fan on the cooler too, which opens up options of where it could go.
Hopefully we'll get some more replies.
Thanks!

Unfortunately the oil cooler lines are discontinued.

Best bet is find the lines on a 99-02 at a junk yard, then get the trans cooler from an 03/04.

there is a little vent at the bottom of the stock bumper, and you could maybe squeeze one in there. Would not be hard routing the lines to either the existing locations or a pancake adapter.

My rebuild ate my lift money, but I still plan on it with tires, bumpers and skidplates.
I like your idea of in the bumper, and with a fan.
Hopefully there would be a good spot in some of the aftermarket ones.

I will eventually get to it. I’d like to tow an off road trailer with it in the future. Let me know what you end up doing. Not sure I will get to it this year.

I have some other repairs to do first.
