Just wanted to follow up to see where you landed with the diesel noise that we both have/had. Any update?

So the update is that I ordered new exhaust flange gaskets and tried to install them myself but absolutely could not get the studs to budge. I am planning on taking it in to a shop soon but it has a way of being kicked down the priority list as of late. I’ll absolutely update again once that’s done. Hopefully it will be good news.

@greisinb you need to soak them everyday with good penetrating oil for about a week at least. The heat of driving will pull it in If the shop uses air tools they may very well snap.

I’ll do that and take another shot at it, I wouldn’t be able to get it in to a shop in the next week anyway- besides, I’d rather do it myself if I can!
