Default Oil Pump Cover Bolt

So, going in to replace the oil pump gears. Got the front cover off and went to remove the pozi3 screws. Someone has been in there and rounded one of them off. Any ideas how to get that sucker out?

How badly stripped is it? Easy-outs work well. I think that's the name anyway. If it's not too badly stripped then you can press hard, use a ratchet, and rotate the oil pump cover with the ratchet.

Got it. Thanks. The replacement is m6 x 1.0 for the record.

I had the same problem last week and I was the idiot who'd stripped them! And I'd used red loctite (such was my previous confidence that I would never have to replace the oil pump gears). An impact drill (battery powered) zipped them all off like butter.

Thanks for posting the replacement size/thread pitch. Do you know the length? Maybe I should get some.
