Hey guys: Can someone please tell me exactly how much oilI should put in my 99Land rover disco series II 4.0 ?I need to know in (litres) I am up here in Toronto and the English Master technician guy at the Huge land rover dealership in Toronto said 7 litres. Wich = 6.15 british quarts or 7.39 U.S. quarts.. So I am confussed as to wich is correct.

7 litres applies to the Diesel engine.

Yours is the 4.0 L V8 without the oil cooler.

That means 5.8 Litres, per the attachment posted by mwindth.

Look in your owners manual page 177:

It states 6.1 US quarts, 5.8 Litre and 10.1 Imp pt or 5.05 Imp quarts.

 

Fill it until it is full. LOL

 

Ditto, fill it till it shows full on the dip stick, 6.1 quarts.
